PC Build at Nutech SM Mabolo: i5-9600K Mid-Range Setup Experience

Throwback 2019: PC Build at Nutech SM Mabolo: i5-9600K Mid-Range Setup.

If you’re planning a PC build in Cebu or looking for a trustworthy shop to buy computer parts, this story might just help you.

Let’s rewind to 2019. I was at SM Cebu, canvassing for a mid-range gaming PC setup. I was eyeing the Intel i5-9600K 3.7GHz, a powerful 6-core processor perfect for gaming and productivity. My goal was to build a future-proof PC—one with a compatible motherboard for upgrades, a decent case, and solid performance. I had already bought my MSI GTX 1660 GPU, and I was carrying my own SSD to complete the setup.

I visited several tech stores, asking questions and comparing prices. But sadly, many of the staff didn’t take me seriously. They seemed uninterested, almost hesitant to show me parts. Some even gave the impression that I couldn’t afford the items—maybe they assumed I’d ask for Home Credit, or judged me based on how I was dressed. Back then, I didn’t care about appearances—I was focused on finding the best PC parts in Cebu on a limited budget.

Despite the judgment, I pressed on.

That’s when I found Nutech at SM Mabolo.

Unlike the others, they treated me with respect. They answered all my questions, showed me their PC component lineup, and gave fair prices. When I told them I was ready to purchase, they asked how I’d like to pay.

I said, “Cash po.”

They were surprised—and instantly started preparing my rig.

That day, I walked away not just with a new budget gaming PC build, but also with a reminder that real professionals don’t judge based on looks—they deliver great customer service to everyone.

Shoutout to Nutech SM Mabolo for the exceptional experience. And also to Nutech Lapu-Lapu, where I got my MSI GTX 1660 graphics card. This is a very late feedback, but I hope it helps other buyers looking for a reliable store to buy PC parts in Cebu.

More stories coming soon—including the full story of my GPU hunt. Stay tuned!
